Today was our 5 year anniversary at the Hamilton Rd. location. We opened on May 16, 2011 as Holy Smoke BBQ with James Martin and Jose Hernandez as our managers.

It has been a long journey and there were times when it seemed impossible to keep going and times when it was going so fast we could barely hold on. This location presented many interesting challenges but we made it work, and posted real tangible growth as a business and as people.

May 15, 2016 was our last day open as we make the move to Creekside and I could not be more excited. In my mind we had to get better every day and never settle or be comfortable with who we were or what we were doing. There is always more to learn and opportunity to innovate. The heart of any business is the people who do the work to make it through everyday. Each one of the people we had made an impact on who we were and who we have become.

Thank you to all of the fans, past employees and supporters for helping us move on to the next challenge. We will take all of the energy many of these people brought with them to the next phase as well as the memory of my old friend. The game hasn't changed but the level of play sure has! I could not be more confident in the people we have that are ready to step up and meet this next challenge.
